Choose a metal blank with known composition and an accessible marking face. Test a spare of the same finish before preparing the gift batch. Build the layout around a short name or simple mark, then create a locating reference that keeps each blank in the same orientation. Check how the gift will be packaged so the inscription faces outward when opened. Do not use an engraving result as evidence of food-contact or functional safety.

A metal-focused machine choice
P2 Ultra is the listed 20W 1064nm fiber metal engraver. It serves a different material path from the compact P2 gift workflow and the larger X1S panel workflow. Evaluate the exact alloy, coating, object geometry and holding method on representative spare material before accepting a final piece. Curved work may need a separately confirmed accessory setup; this machine offer does not establish that a rotary or other fixture is included.
