X1S Pro Unplanned Outage: Reassign Work Without Losing WIP

Freeze releases after an outage and identify every physical panel, file revision, and operation state. Only then choose preserve, inspect, reroute, remake, or customer-notify with a named owner.

Freeze the queue before moving a panel

Production shops need to preserve traceability and delivery promises when a machine stops with files, sheets, and partially completed panels in different states.

Observation: the machine stops with one panel loaded, two partially processed, and three waiting. Controlled test: freeze the queue and reconcile physical tags against order, sheet, file revision, and completed operation. Interpretation: unmatched WIP cannot be safely rerouted. Action: assign preserve, inspect, reroute, remake, or notify to a named owner.

Give every physical state an owner

|---|---|---|

WIP state Owner Permitted move
Untouched stock Inventory owner Reserve or return
Loaded, not started Operator Verify file, zero and fixture
Partially processed QC lead Preserve, inspect, rework or remake
Complete, unchecked QC lead Inspect before release
Promise at risk Order owner Notify with evidence

A recovery map protects against two quiet errors: running the same operation twice and shipping a panel that skipped inspection.

Walk one partial panel through recovery

  1. Stop new work entering the affected queue.
  2. Tag bed, staging rack, inspection bench and packing area items.
  3. Capture visible software state without assuming automatic synchronization.
  4. Match each panel to order, sheet ID, file revision and completed operation.
  5. Restart with one controlled validation job before releasing the backlog.

Example: panel 104 has operation A complete and B untouched. QC photographs the boundary, confirms revision 7, and decides remake because another machine cannot reproduce the original datum. Panel 105 is untouched and can be rerouted after its new fixture proof. The two panels therefore take different paths despite sharing an order.

Restart with a controlled validation job

Restart with one validation job and record its release. This state map is a shop method, not a claim of automatic X1S Pro queue synchronization.

Current machine-format information is on the X1S Pro product page. Before rerouting onto a questionable support surface, Map Honeycomb Flatness at Nine Points Before a Production Run supplies a measured release gate.

Questions the recovery owner must answer

Can another machine use the same file immediately?

Only after its coordinate convention, fixture, material and qualified process are checked.

Must every partial panel be scrapped?

No. QC chooses from preserve, safe recovery or remake using evidence and cost.

Does X1S Pro provide this WIP system?

This is a proposed shop-control method, not a claim of built-in TYVOK production software.

One tag, one owner, one next state

Do not move a panel whose order, revision, or completed operation is uncertain. The queue restarts only after the validation job is accepted.
