X1S Pro Crashes to One Side While Homing? Stop Before Retrying

Stop repeated homing attempts after an impact or continued motion against one side. Follow the X1S Pro's documented stop and power-isolation procedure, preserve the displayed state when safe, and ask TYVOK for configuration-specific instructions. Another homing command is not a harmless diagnostic step if the previous one caused a crash.

A July startup-homing report describes a different machine driving into one side. That story explains why buyers search for this symptom, but its controller, sensors, and corrective actions must not be applied to an X1S Pro by analogy.

Preserve what happened without recreating it

Write down whether the event occurred at power-up, after a connection, or after an explicit homing command. Describe the side approached using a photograph of the machine orientation, rather than an ambiguous “left” from an unknown viewpoint. Save the exact displayed message, software version, selected device profile, and whether any settings or accessories had recently changed.

If the screen cannot be captured without delaying an urgent stop, prioritize stopping. Missing a screenshot is preferable to allowing continued impact. Use existing video only; do not power the machine again just to film the fault for support.

X1S Pro support evidence What to record What not to infer
Machine identity Model, configuration, serial information privately That another X1S variant has identical controls
Event sequence Power, connection, command, impact That the last action alone caused the fault
Displayed state Exact alarm or message A diagnosis from a similar online code
Safe external observation Visible obstruction or damage, if permitted That an unseen sensor or cable is sound
Previous changes Date and nature of changes That reversing a change is automatically safe

Keep physical checks inside the manual's boundary

Only perform powered-off obstruction, connector, or limit-sensor checks that the current manual expressly authorizes for the owner. Record the relevant instruction and observation. If the instruction is absent, leave the component untouched and send photographs that can be obtained safely from outside.

Do not remove covers, alter wiring, swap pins, defeat limits, change firmware parameters, or push the mechanism to make it home. A connector that resembles one in a repair video is not sufficient identification. The X1S Pro product information helps establish the model, but it is not a substitute for service instructions for the actual unit.

After support clears the event, position must still be established through the permitted workflow. The stopped-job origin guide addresses that later question. If homing is normal but engraving and cutting disagree, preserve the separate mode-dependent alignment comparison.

Should I press Home once more after restarting?

Not after an unresolved homing impact. Wait for instructions that address the exact observed event and machine configuration.

Can I continue using a manually selected origin?

Do not use a different origin to bypass an unresolved fault. Production should remain on hold until authorized checks and the required position proof establish that operation can resume.
